Aspiro Adventure Therapy fully integrates evidence based research within the constructs of our sequential adventure components while removing treatment from the confines of a traditional indoor facility setting. The program operates in front and back country environments to facilitate therapeutic experiences that provide real time assessment, skill building, and educational experiences. Some of the adventure therapy components that are utilized in the treatment process include mountain biking, rock climbing, rappelling, alpine skiing, snow shoeing, canyoneering and backpacking. The Aspiro clinical team members integrate individual, group, and family therapy, in addition to weekly communication with parents and a mid-program family seminar on site. Through this hands on, integrated clinical model, participants gradually begin to develop healthier relationships, coping strategies, and problem solving skills.
